beginner group classes

Group classes are offered regularly to teach people how to knit. They cost $25-$50, depending upon the size of the group and the length of the class. There’s a 10% discount on class supplies. In no time you’ll make a cowl!

private lessons

Private knitting and crochet lessons are offered for $25 per hour. Designed for those who want individual attention, they can help you learn how to knit, refresh your skills, practice a new stitch, decipher your pattern, or get the support you need. They are available by appointment during regular business hours. Just stop by, email or call to schedule one.

cancellation/rescheduling policy

Our classes often fill up, so please understand your fee for the class reserves your spot and is not refundable. We know that life sometimes happens, so in the event that you need to switch to a different class, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to the start of the class and you will be waitlisted for the next available class. We cannot offer make-ups for those cancelled within 48 hours.

Garter Stitch CowlBeginnerCowl

Learn the basics of knitting: how to cast on, knit, and bind off.  Whether you’ve never knit before or need a refresher, this class will get you up and running!  Our simple cowl is a great project.  In this beginner class, you’ll start your cowl and we’ll guide you through it!



Beyond Beginner Knitting / $25 plus supplies – purchased on day of class

Now that you know the basics of knitting, this class takes you one step further. We will help you learn a new stitch or pattern, then help you select the perfect project and get you going. Our classes are flexible to meet your individual needs!

Learn the basics of crochet: the chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet. If you’re new to crochet or need to re-learn this class is for you! Our simple cowl is a great beginner project and you’ll go home with all of the skills you’ll need to finish.



Intermediate Crochet  / $25 plus supplies

If you are ready to take your crochet skills to the next level, this class will help you add stitches to your repertoire or use the stitches you already know to create shaping and new textures.  A popular project for this class is our Mrs. Moon Chunky Puff Cowl.  Kristine, our resident crochet expert, will help you build your skills and guide you through your next project!


Feel free to join our Open Knitting/Crocheting every Saturday (3-5 pm), Sunday (3-5 pm) or Thursday evening (7-9 pm).  Stitchers of all levels are welcome!



Dip Dyed Macrame Wall Tassels & Wine / $40 (includes supplies)

Try your hand at another fun technique that uses fiber!  Learn the basics of macrame and create a beautiful, textured wall tassel alongside professional artist, Amy Zwikel, right here at our shop.  You’ll learn knotting, get help with tension, then dip dye your finished piece!  You’ll get to take your piece home to dry immediately after the workshop.



Learn to Magic Loop A Hat / $25 plus supplies  – purchased on day of class

When you are able to knit a hat in the magic loop technique, you no longer have to switch to double-pointed needles to finish! You can work the whole hat on one set of needles, regardless of the size. Even if you are familiar with knitting in the round, this is a great way to learn a new technique!
