beginner group classes

Group classes are offered regularly to teach people how to knit. They cost $25-$50, depending upon the size of the group and the length of the class. There’s a 10% discount on class supplies. In no time you’ll make a cowl!

private lessons

Private knitting and crochet lessons are offered for $25 per hour. Designed for those who want individual attention, they can help you learn how to knit, refresh your skills, practice a new stitch, decipher your pattern, or get the support you need. They are available by appointment during regular business hours. Just stop by, email or call to schedule one.

cancellation/rescheduling policy

Our classes often fill up, so please understand your fee for the class reserves your spot and is not refundable. We know that life sometimes happens, so in the event that you need to switch to a different class, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to the start of the class and you will be waitlisted for the next available class. We cannot offer make-ups for those cancelled within 48 hours.

Knitting continues to gain popularity!  Learning is both fun and easy. We’ll start by casting on and before the class ends, you will be well on your way to making a chunky cowl or scarf. We have a great selection of yarns for you to choose from, so come about 10-15 minutes early and we can set you up with your first skein of yarn and needles that you will need for the class.

Once you know the knit stitch, there are so many possibilities for your next project.  This class is for anyone who has learned the basics, regardless of when.  Maybe you’d like to finish your first project and then start another!  Maybe you want to work with circular needles for the first time or learn a new stitch.  Why not both?  Whatever your choice, we recommend coming in early or on a day before your class so we can help you choose your project and pick your supplies.

Crochet has made a huge comeback!  Anyone can learn.  With a foundation chain and just a few stitches, you will be well on your way to making a chunky cowl or scarf before class ends.  We have a great selection of yarns for you to choose from, so come about 10-15 minutes early and we can set you up with your first skein of yarn and hook.

 

 

Feel free to join our Open Knitting/Crocheting every Saturday (3-5 pm), Sunday (3-5 pm) or Thursday evening (7-9 pm).  Stitchers of all levels are welcome!

This fun technique is often described as a hybrid of knitting and crocheting.  Practice basic Tunisian stitches while you work up your own cowl.  No previous knitting or crochet experience is necessary to learn Tunisian Crochet!

This pillow is perfect for anyone who has learned the basics of crochet and is ready to branch out!  In this 2-part class, you’ll learn new stitches, how to join colors, crocheting in the round, and reading patterns/charts.  Join us and learn a whole bunch of new techniques while creating a beautiful new piece for your home.

Our basic sock class is a great way to learn and get comfortable using double-pointed needles.  We will cast on and begin the cuff in part 1 of this class.  We will resume 2 weeks later to pick up stitches from the heel flap and work the gusset.  Making socks is fun and easier than you think it is!

Here’s another way to try your hand at macrame!  Like our wall hanging class, you will learn the basics and create a beautiful plant hanger alongside professional artist, Amy Zwikel, right here at our shop.  You’ll learn knotting and get help with tension and the overall look of your piece.  You’ll finish your plant hanger in class to hang as soon as you get home!
