recently completed projects…

sage

I knit this shrug to encourage our beginning knitters to take on an easy sweater project.

The pattern, Sage, is in a Rowan pattern booklet called New Shapes.  The yarn is Malabrigo Rasta.

Here’s the back of it.

evening dusk bolero

Hilary knit this Evening Dusk Bolero by Leigh Radford.  It’s made with Imperial Stock Ranch 2 ply Pencil Roving.

Sam and Hilary took turns knitting our Mohair Bias Loop (using Rowan Kidsilk Haze).  It’s so light and airy, and can be worn various ways.

ulee on my knitting

The other night I was happily knitting Annabella’s Cowl.  I got up for a few minutes and my cat, Ulee, plopped down in my seat, right on top of my knitting project.

Eventually I wrestled it out from under her, and resumed my knitting.  Here’s the finished product.  I love the fuzzy, luxurious result.

I wanted to try our new yarn, Madelinetosh Pashmina, so I held one strand of that with a strand of Rowan Kidsilk Haze. I chose Amber Trinket as my color of Pashmina and Blood as my color of Kidsilk Haze.  I made a shorter version of the pattern, so it used one skein of each yarn.

The shop occasionally hosts special events, book signings, trunk shows, and sales. Private events can also be arranged at the shop by request.

Perhaps you'd like to have a birthday party centered around a knitting lesson. Or a baby shower during which everyone learns to knit a square for a baby blanket. Or a corporate networking event that features knitting instruction. Or a book club that encourages participants to knit while discussing the book. Nina: a well-knit shop is available for these and other special events.
