After a recent Learn To Knit Class, our group proudly posed wearing their first project.
The class met for 2 hours one Saturday afternoon, and another 2 hours the following Saturday. They learned to cast on, knit, and purl in the first class – went home to work on the project during the course of the week – and returned to learn how to bind off, weave in ends, and finish in the second class. The project took 5 to 6 hours. Each person chose a special button or embellishment to complete and personalize their scarf. The results were great, and as unique as the individuals who made them.
It’s always amazing and gratifying to me when people come to our shop not knowing how to knit, and leave wearing a lovely knitted creation.
Check our Class Schedule for upcoming sessions if you’d like to learn how to knit.
