drape front sweater

Joan loaned us her Drape Front Sweater so we could hang it in the shop and admire it for a couple weeks.  Isn’t it nice?!

The pattern is from Vogue Knitting Magazine Winter 2011/12 and the yarn is Madelinetosh Pashmina (3 skeins of thunderstorm).  It’s cozy and comfy, and I’m adding it to my queue!

wingspan

Sam finished Wingspan and it looks lovely hanging in the shop.

It takes just 1 Zauberball, and the free pattern can be found here.

Olia chose a crazy fun Zauberball for her Wingspan.  And she used a larger needle for a looser gauge.  Pretty!

jane austen knits

Just in, new magazine… Jane Austen Knits Summer 2012.

namaste

Namaste totes and circular needle cases are back in stock.  Fun bright colors!

hilary’s habu

Look what Hilary made for her Mom for Mother’s Day (Habu Kit 19). Amazing!

mmmmmm… malabrigo!

Just got lots of Arroyo, Worsted and Sock yarn from Malabrigo.  The colors are exquisite!

a few finished beauties

Samantha finished the Oaklet Shawl recently – so beautiful in Madelinetosh Light (color Tart).

Olia made this gorgeous Entrelac Scarf with a free pattern from our shop after taking our Entrelac Class.  Great use of Malabrigo Silky Merino (color Indiecita).

And miracle of miracle… I finally finished my Koigu Linen Stitch Scarf.  It only took a year -hah! It’s easy to pick up and put down, so a lot of other projects got started while working on it.

Very happy with the finished result.  After steaming it grew a lot longer, and softened up nicely. Now I’m ready to choose 3 new colors and do it again!

special baby blanket

We’ve long admired the Chevron Baby Blanket from the Purlbee blog.

And we’ve helped many customers choose their 7 favorite colors of Blue Sky Cotton to make it.

Molly just finished hers – and it came out beautiful!  Lucky baby!

The shop occasionally hosts special events, book signings, trunk shows, and sales. Private events can also be arranged at the shop by request.

Perhaps you'd like to have a birthday party centered around a knitting lesson. Or a baby shower during which everyone learns to knit a square for a baby blanket. Or a corporate networking event that features knitting instruction. Or a book club that encourages participants to knit while discussing the book. Nina: a well-knit shop is available for these and other special events.
