I’m loving my latest new project… Cameo.
Thanks to Janet, the owner of String Theory in Glen Ellyn. She was wearing Cameo during our shop talk dinner recently. Hers was so gorgeous, I wanted to make one too.
It has all of the elements I like: garter stitch, easy 2 color striping, and a little lace.
Plus it’s green and springy (Madelinetosh Merino Light – grasshopper and antler).
Here it is in its first couple of phases.
I try to work on it when my kitty isn’t sleeping on it.
Our customers and employees inspire me every day.
Here are their latest accomplishments:
Maura’s Easy Peasy Baby Jacket is knit with Cascade Ultra Pima.
Maura’s Baby Sophisticate is made with Spud & Chloe Sweater.
Maura’s Norma is made with Madelinetosh DK.
Suzanne’s Afternoon Cardi is made with Spud & Chloe Sweater.
Brittney’s Lonely Tree Shawl is made with Malabrigo Silky Merino.
Olia’s Kleio is made with Madelinetosh Light.
Hilary’s Guernsey Triangle is made with Swans Island Fingering.
Nina found this classic old photo of her Mother knitting in the 1950’s.

We are supporting the Mother Bear Project again this May with another bear knit-and-crochet-along.
Join us every Saturday in May from 2-5 pm to make bears that will provide comfort to children whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDs.
The bears are easy and fun to make, and patterns are available for knitting and crocheting, both flat and in-the-round.
Look at the cute bears our customers made last year. Some of them have been sighted in Zimbabwe!
Please email the shop at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in and register. The Mother Bear pattern will cost $5 and can be purchased in advance through www.motherbearproject.org or www.ravelry.com.
Bring your needles and hooks! Size 8 needles and G hooks or similar sizes will work for this project. Yarn will be provided, but feel free to bring stash yarn or fiberfill.
