copy cat…

We’ve all been inspired by patterns we’ve found on Ravelry or on yarn company websites.

Have you ever been so inspired by a photo that you not only wanted to knit the item, but you wanted to wear the whole outfit?

That’s what happened to our cute employee, Maura, when she saw a picture of the Mara Shawl on Madelinetosh’s website.  She knit the shawl, and then bought the skirt and blouse.

Pretty darn adorable!

Habu Trunk Show

We will be hosting a Trunk Show and Workshop with Takako, the owner of Habu Textiles, on Wednesday, August 7th.

It is no surprise that every year this event is so popular!  Habu continues to produce some of the most beautiful textiles and work with some of the most talented designers.

The Trunk Show will be from 1-7pm and refreshments will be served.  Customers will have the chance to see and try on a collection of over 60 garments.  And they can personally work with Takako on their kit selections and color choices.

Takako will also teach workshops on Japanese schematic patterns from 1-2pm and from 4-5pm.  These workshops filled up fast last year, so please call the shop to reserve your spot and pay the $25 fee.  (773.486.8996)
