a visit to NYC for a little inspiration…

During a fun trip to NYC last week, I visited Knitty City, a great yarn shop on the Upper West Side.

Here I am with the owner, Pearl.  We had a nice dinner together and swapped shop talk.  Thanks Pearl !

I also stopped in at Habu Textiles to say hello to Takako, and to order some more of her fabulous yarn.

I walked all over the city and found inspiration at every turn.

Spring is such a great time for a visit – with everything in bloom.

I walked the High Line, wandered around the Village, meandered through Chelsea, and strolled down 5th Avenue.  So many people, so much energy and activity – I loved it.

I used to live in NYC years ago, and I always enjoy returning.

Of course I had to visit Zabars.  How I miss that place!
