Ikigai Fiber Trunk Show with Pam Powers
Saturday, June 23rd from 1pm to 5pm
Please join us for an amazing trunk show event that takes place right after H+H Americas! Pam Powers, pattern designer and creator of Ikigai Fiber, will be here with a beautiful array of handmade garments and accessories. Pam will be teaching her exclusive Wool Embroidery Workshop from 1pm to 3:30pm and will be available if you would like to meet her when that is over. To get more details and register for her workshop, click here! For more details about the trunk show, keep scrolling down.
"Ikigai" is the Japanese philosophy of having a source of value in one's life that makes everything worthwhile. It's your reason to get out of bed in the morning. Ikigai is often represented as the center of a Venn diagram overlapping what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs and what you can be paid for.
What is Ikigai Fiber? Pam been fascinated with Japanese crafting for many years and has been fortunate to take workshops on Sashiko, boro and indigo dyeing. Since she is 100% Japanese, she feels a profound connection to the history, culture and social value of handcrafting in Japan. We hope you will join her in exploring Japanese-inspired handcrafts and maybe you'll find your Ikigai too in the process.
We love carrying Ikigai Fiber and it is one of our favorite yarns, so we're incredibly excited to have Pam here with so many of her beautiful samples!
The show will be from 1-5pm on Saturday, June 23rd. If you'd like to meet Pam, register for her workshop or plan to attend the trunk show after 3:30pm. We are looking forward to this event!
