It's Cold! Coat-Along SAL

Mondays, January 11th, 18th, 25th and February 1st from 7pm to 8pm

Free participation with your supplies purchase!

It's cold out! Let's sew coats! We've got several different patterns for you to choose from, depending on your skill level, your needs, or your favorite:

Flynn Jacket by In The Folds

Cambria Duster by Friday Pattern Co.

502 Wrap Jacket by Assembly Line

Alston Reversible Jacket by Sew to Grow

1949 Women's Jacket by Pendleton

If you haven't tried one of our series Sew-Alongs yet, you can jump in at any time! They take place on Mondays at 7pm. Sewing is typically a solo hobby and we're proud to say we've made it fun to do in a virtual group. As an added bonus, you don't have to carry your sewing machine anywhere!

We will be closed from January 1st through January 8th. Our brick & mortar will remain closed the 9th through the 15th, but during that week, we are available for phone orders, web orders, Facetime shopping and curbside pick-up. If you'd like to come in and get your supplies in person, please call us to make an appointment before the end of this year, as the SAL begins before we reopen for 2021. If you can't make it in then, we'll be happy to help you over the phone or Facetime beginning on January 9th. Our number at the shop is 773.486.8996 and you can also email us at [email protected] for assistance.

Supplies:

For this SAL, supplies will vary depending on the chosen pattern. Typically between 3 to 4 1/2 yards of wool, linen, canvas or lightweight denim will be needed, as well as coordinating thread. We are happy to help you gather everything else you need!

Additional supplies you'll need for all options if you don't already have them:

• pattern tracing paper

• heat erasable marker or chalk pencil

• pins

• fabric scissors

Our It's Cold! Coat-Along will meet every Monday evening at 7pm via Zoom, January 11th, 18th, 25th and February 1st. Participation is free with your purchase of supplies. This is not a sewing lesson and all participants do need to be comfortable with operating their own sewing machine in their home. If you need additional help, please contact us to set up a lesson.
