Lounge Pants Sew-Along

It turns out social sewing is a ton of fun, so we've got another sew-along all lined up! For our next SAL, we are preparing to hunker down inside during cold weather by making some super comfy lounge pants.

Jen holds up lounge pants in cotton jersey/Be Bananas by Art Gallery Fabrics/Margot Pajamas Pattern

Jennifer models her own in cotton by Liberty of London/High Summer Flower Show/Pants No. 1

We also just got some of these fun fabrics from Art Gallery in stock:

Stop in, email us at [email protected] or call us at 773.486.8996 and we will help you gather the supplies you'll need (we can shop with you via Facetime if that helps!):

• Pants No. 1 pattern from 100 Acts of Sewing or Margo Pajamas pattern from Love at First Stitch

• 2 1/2 yds of lightweight to medium-weight cotton fabric such as quilting cotton, lawn or flannel

• 1 1/2 yd of 3/4" elastic

• coordinating thread

Additional supplies you'll need if you don't already have them:

• pattern tracing paper

• heat erasable marker or chalk pencil

• pins

• fabric scissors

Jennifer is now our sew-along pro and will be leading this one as well! If we can get her off the couch, that is. She looks pretty comfortable!

Our Lounge Pant Sew-Along will meet every Monday evening at 7pm via Zoom, the 12th, 19th,  and 26th of October. Participation is free with your purchase of supplies. This is not a sewing lesson and all participants do need to be comfortable with operating their own sewing machine in their home. If you need additional help, please contact us to set up a lesson.
