mother bear project – knit and crochet for charity

Posted on: May 9th, 2013 by nina chicago

We are supporting the Mother Bear Project again this May with another bear knit-and-crochet-along.

Join us every Saturday in May from 2-5 pm to make bears that will provide comfort to children whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDs.

The bears are easy and fun to make, and patterns are available for knitting and crocheting, both flat and in-the-round.

Look at the cute bears our customers made last year.  Some of them have been sighted in Zimbabwe!

Please email the shop at info@ninachicago.com or stop in and register.   The Mother Bear pattern will cost $5 and can be purchased in advance through www.motherbearproject.org or www.ravelry.com.

Bring your needles and hooks!  Size 8 needles and G hooks or similar sizes will work for this project.  Yarn will be provided, but feel free to bring stash yarn or fiberfill.
