We get so much support from our community and we are honored to do the same for Small Business Saturday! This year, we are featuring five vendors who are small businesses like we are. We hope you will take a moment to get to know them here and consider coming out and supporting them this Saturday.
This female-owned and run business puts out some of the most creative yarns you’ll ever see. The are completely handspun and hand-decorated by women in India. The creation of one skein can take more than 2 hours! Invest in a skein or two of amazing yarn from Knit Collage and make an incredible accessory, or go all out and make a sweater. The possibilities with this yarn are endless!
A really fun one-skein hat!
Mix different yarns to create a completely unique sweater.
This sustainable non-profit initiative is a member of the Fair Trade Organization that provides jobs, education and encouragement to women in Rwanda. Their ultimate mission is to achieve economic independence for their employees and sustainability for the program itself. Our socks were knocked off when they approached us and asked if we would be interested in carrying their yarns. Naturally we said yes, and we are honored to have made them a permanent part of our collection. Their organic merino and cotton are both especially unique because they are dyed entirely using vegetation.
Our merino rugged man hat is free with your yarn purchase and is the perfect one-skein gift for the holidays.
L’Escargot Bleu knit up perfectly with the cotton and is a very wearable all-weather shawl.
Another member of the Fair Trade Organization, Fibres of Life has strong social and environmental initiatives. Based in Nepal, they are strong advocates for preventing child labor and helping animals in addition to their responsible business practices. Their products are all made from wools and other natural products.
The Big Life Tote is such a perfect giant bag that can hold everything.
We have these pouches in various colors and sizes with all of these cute designs on them.
While this sounds like a two women, it is actually a one-woman operation who named her business after her sheep! Owner Margaret is a very creative midwest gal. Two of her kits, Conversation and Possibility, will be 15% off, as well as her handmade stitch markers, necklaces and bracelets.
This fabulous Possibility Poncho can be worn all kinds of ways!
Her always popular stitch markers make the best gifts.
Conversation… always a classic!
This is a carry over from our Anniversary Sale because we are so excited about it! The girls at Black Cat dye bold and bright and don’t think twice about it! They were the perfect fit for our anniversary shawl, Celebration! These one-of-a-kind and limited edition kits will be 15% off for Small Business Saturday. We have them available in five different colorways.
We look forward to celebrating Small Business Saturday this weekend!
