If you know the basics of crochet, you can easily apply those to granny squares!
In this workshop, students will learn several techniques for crocheting squares, and apply these to different types of granny squares. Written directions will be given for each type of square for students to take with them.
Supplies needed for this workshop include yarn and a corresponding crochet hook. For yarn, we recommend worsted, aran or bulky weight. You can bring one color or several different colors to play with color changes. Full skeins of yarn are not necessary if you'd like to bring stash yarn or leftovers. Recommended hooks: H/I for worsted weight, I/J for aran weight, and K for bulky weight.
**It is recommended that students are very comfortable with the foundation chain and the single/double crochet stitches.
